Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We are the first (and so far, only) company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto. We're fully remote, with team members across the globe.
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
📍Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the company’s objectives 📍Provide guidance, advice and support on transactions with partners, customers, and vendors, from deal ideation through contract negotiation, execution and post-execution contract management 📍Diligence potential partners, customers and vendors to assess and manage counterparty risks 📍Provide guidance and advice on marketing, promotional, and public relations content 📍Support new product development 📍Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations 📍Monitor changes in relevant laws, regulations and enforcement activity that may be relevant to the company, providing updates and guidance where appropriate 📍Prepare and deliver trainings on legal and compliance issues 📍Enhance legal operations 📍Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed
Qualifications:
📍JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school. 📍6-8+ years of transactional legal experience at a major law firm and/or a high-growth blockchain or fintech company 📍Strong knowledge of commercial transactions as well as securities, anti-money laundering, tax and other financial laws and regulations 📍Deep understanding of blockchain industry; knowledge of tokenization is a plus 📍Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills 📍Strong communication and interpersonal skills 📍Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail 📍Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously 📍Ability to work independently and as part of a team
